We live in a rental, and I'm only really worried about the thing keeping my kids rooms cool (or cooler, they got upto 40°c last year).
Would one of those portable units be worth a look?

Yet - even though its the end of the first week of June - with the wind off the sea it's still cold enough for a jumper. 🧥
