@harsh The ability of those interested in the integrity of a #Wikipedia page to repair it has tended to make intentional damage short lived on pages where it matters the most. #Linus Law 'many eyeballs make all bugs shallow' applies. This law obviously doesn't work so well for pages of interest to a few obsessives, e.g. biographies of minor celebs. Linus law works well enough that #Encarta and #Brittannica have lost leadership on this one.
