#SheepOfMastodon holding the fort at Dun Ardtreck.
These sheep were a tad confrontational and unwilling to let anyone approach their stronghold. Eventually they beat a retreat and scarpered down the slope, but continued to yell at us as we explored this beautiful seaside #broch. Other than the sheep, it was a peaceful walk, with no other humans in sight!

A distinctive form of dwelling from around 2000 yrs ago, found predominantly in northern Scotland, with an amazing architecture with double skin walls holding stone staircases.

The Broch Project have exciting plans to build a broch in #Caithness
