1️⃣ #CraigStevens and #BroderickCrawford: 15 years earlier they were laying down the law, on #PeterGunn and #HighwayPatrol, but in this 2-hour story they are causing all sorts of problems for #DavidJanssen and #JoannaPettet.

2️⃣ It’s a standard tale. Protagonist arrives in closed community, starts asking questions, gets in trouble for it. This #StephenKandel script doesn’t add much you haven’t seen before. There’s a bland love story in the mix.

#HighwayPatrol s1e8 (1955) - 10/10
Excellent fast-paced thriller.

1️⃣ A terse opening narration drops us right in the middle of the action, right in the middle of a police chase. A device containing potentially-lethal radioactive pellets has been stolen.

2️⃣ As Mathews (#BroderickCrawford) frantically tries to find it, we watch the device move from person to person. The script and performances making each one seem real, interesting, funny, and even romantic!
