Such a blast !
I'm a little bit lazy to said why and how much I loved this reading in english, but, yeah, READ IT people ! It's SO good.

Finished the Stone Sky, book 3 in the #BrokenEarth series by #NKJemison this morning. I really liked it and can see why it has been so feted with awards. At the same time, I can both see why it upset so many dudebros with all it’s POC and LGBTQ representation, and am amused that they were so triggered by a series that goes quite so hard re graphic child abuse and body horror. They gave me the impression it was a lot more cosy than it is! #Bookstodon

@Frohmann N.K. Jemisin mit ihrer #brokenearth Trilogie. Unglaublich gutes Worldbuilding, im ganz Großen wie auch Kleinen! Eine durchdachte und kohärente Andersartigkeit, sehr anregend und wertvoll. Ein Epos, wie es mir seit den großartigen Hyperion Gesängen von Simmons nicht untergekommen ist.

Davor war Octavia E. Butler mit Earthseed (Parable of the Sower / Parable of the Talents) das bisher berührenste/erschütternste. Es ist sehr schade, dass sie Earthseed nie beenden konnte.

Nun auch den dritten und letzten Band der #brokenearth Trilogie von #nkjemisin beendet und bin irgendwie happy, obwohl sie so viele schmerzende Momente enthält. Ein beeindruckende Geschichte mit Figuren, die mir über die Jahre ans Herz wuchsen.
Denk nicht, dass diese drei Bücher vergessen werden.

I was thinking this would be a good illustration of the Obelisks in N.K. Jemisin's #BrokenEarth trilogy. Rising out of the pits where they were created and charged with orogene magic. Those were gemstones though. But I think the scale is correct.
