What a day. Rode 50miles with the 12-year-old for @transalt's 50th Anniversary Ride on my Brompton, at least a third of them in pouring rain. Came home and got a call that we won a #Brompton at the finish line raffle!

Partner got a #brompton today. While we already have ebikes, we're looking at ways to go further by bus or other transport, and this seemed like the best way to go. #BikeTooter

A new nature reserve has been opened to the public near my office. It's hill that used to be an old landfill but that has been rewilded over the past few years. A few weeks ago, it was opened to the public.

I took a quick trip there today in what was way too hot weather: but it was worth it! The views from on top are really nice and I managed to see a new lifer. More details (and photos) about that later :-)

Taking your bicycle isn't allowed, but the guard at the entrance allowed me to put my Brompton in his cabin for the duration of my stay.

On my way there, I found an iPhone on the cycle path. It was fortunately not broken or cracked and not locked with a password, so I called a random favourited contact who told me the owner lives closeby. Luckily it hasn't been raining the past few days or it might've been destroyed!

Weiter ging es dann nach Süden durch den Oderbruch und die Auenlandschaft. Die Strecke ist ziemlich ruhig gewesen und ich konnte ganz entspannt mit Rückenwind auf dem #Brompton erst zur Europabrücke und dann weiter nach Küstrin fahren. Die Landschaft bleibt grandios, aber man sieht, wie auf polnischer Seite die Oder trotz anders lautender Gerichtsurteile weiter ausgebaut wird. /3

My current #Brompton touring setup: a Lomo 15L Dry Bike Motorbike Tail Bag for clothes on the rear rack secured to the seat rail with a lightweight karabiner to stop it twisting, and cam strap round the rack. A Brompton Borough Bag on the front containing tools, lock, waterproofs, bike cover etc. A small rucksack on my back with charging cables and essentials. #BikeTooter

@xtaran @cyclingeu someone who rides a #Brompton is a Bromptoneer. The process of riding (or folding, or unfolding) is therefore Bromptoneering. "She bromptoneered her bike, carried it downstairs and is now bromptoneering to the station where she will bromptoneer it up to take it on the train."

Même les clones de #Brompton sont hors de prix : Le Royale Carbon M6 de Mobot est par exemple au-dessus de 1 000€ avant toutes les taxes d'importation depuis Singapour et le transport. Heureusement que D4 est là pour proposer des tarifs raisonnables.

@radlpit Was hast du denn für Griffe am #brompton? Zur Fixierung der Verbindungsschellen gibt es auch eine schöne und effektive Einbaulösung, z. Bei AliExpress gibt es günstigere Angebote, dafür mit etwas Lieferzeit.

Habe meinem #brompton auch endlich einen Rückspiegel spendiert.

Bei der Gelegenheit habe ich die Verbindungsschellen an den Faltgelenken mit Klebeband gegen Verdrehen fixiert. So geht das Aufsetzen der Schelle ein bisschen einfacher, da man sie beim Zuschrauben nicht mit der Hand fixieren muss.

Wenn ich es richtig sehe (siehe Video 2 auf https://bromptonauten.cc/threads/brompton-2024.594/ ) kommt kommendes Jahr eine 12-Gang Schaltung für die #Brompton C-Line. Falls jemand mehr weiß (Datum, o.ä.) würde ich mich über Informationen freuen.

Damit werde ich wohl noch mit meiner Anschaffung abwarten.

Gestern habe ich ein #Brompton mit #DeutscheBahn Aufkleber gesehen.
Das ist ein Zeichen, oder? MEIN Zeichen?!

Was dann abzugeben ist: 2 Trekkingräder von Bulls, 2016 gekauft und viel gefahren, aber gepflegt. Größe und Ausstattung muss ich nachsehen, wir haben im Laufe der Jahre einiges getauscht (Foto von 2019). Stehen in #Bochum.

Also funny: the conductor of that Intercity train. When asked if this is the right train and seeing our unfolded bikes and the foldable bike trailer said "yes", immediatly followed by "the bike compartment is in wagon 10". We continued to wagon 6 wit the reserved seats instead, telling him that this is just luggage in a few minutes. #Brompton

Yesterday in Genoa, Piazza Principe station: three people - a couple and a stranger, each with a Brompton folding bike, just off the Intercity train from Ventimiglia, gather in front of the elevator. They exchange a look to the other Brompton bikes, a smile and a "bing" from the bell. #Brompton
