Arvo, Toots! Hilarious today as every second post in my feed is removed by my very effective filters. Love that.
Today’s #BroochOfTheDay came from Jodie at RicRacSews on Etsy (I don’t think she’s doing pins these days, but her felt sewing patterns are awesome.) I’m having a hard time getting going, so I definitely have earned my shield badge in the League of Procrastinators - how about you?

So time for some content from me? Ummm… How about a #BroochOfTheDay ? In honour of the new season of #StarTrekStrangeNewWorlds, which I have to say is absolutely knocking my socks off so far, here’s one of my favourites. From creator Richard Stevens (no Mastodon acct, sad face) of Diesel Sweeties comic fame, my preferred Trek Badge: Rainbow!

Today’s #BroochOftheDay is Old Man Walrus by #Erstwilder, from 2017. In honour of my hobbling around on one of my walking sticks. I don’t look nearly as dapper, but then, my tusks aren’t quite so protruding, so there’s that.

Evening, Toots! Well, today was a bit meh. A recovery day, mainly. That happens. My lovely partner was very busy, and tonight will be clean sheet day, so that’s something to look forward to!
The #BroochOfTheDay sums it up really… a new one to me from the wonderful Tasha at #JublyUmph in Daylesford. “Yeah Nah!”

Arvo, Toots! I’m. So. Tired. Instead of doing the sensible thing and having a nap, I have done some odd jobs today: sewn up the door stop that was leaking sand by the front door (but still can’t find my sewing tin with all my good thimbles!); vacuumed the sand the doorstop spilled; cleaned the loo; and shredded a 15 litre tub of old paperwork.

Today’s #BroochOfTheDay is quite seasonal, as winter is the best time for citrus. Hello to the Pandarin! From #FracturedLace in #Brisbane.

Arvo, Toots! Well, the physiotherapist pushed at my back and hip and shoulders, and told me what I already knew - things are crunchy because I’m not moving and stretching enough. Get moving!

Evening, Toots! Slow day here today- I cleaned one shelf in the fridge and after that my #MECFS said I was done. Partner worked hard, draught-proofing the lounge room with some foam tape and a staple gun, and is also exhausted.
Today’s #BroochOfTheDay continues the #Gothic #Tea theme from yesterday - I knew I’d find the teapot that (almost) matched! From #FracturedLace again, the long earrings and teapot that make up the set. I don’t think I’ve ever worn the whole lot at once.

Today’s #BroochOfTheDay is a pair from #FracturedLace, in Brisbane. They were a club exclusive and came with a story, “When the Grim Reaper Came to Tea”, in 2018. I also have a matching teapot #brooch (somewhere!) and earrings.

Evening, Toots! Not a very productive day for me today - a couple of emails sent, but some days are like that. I’ve been trying to track down the artist of today’s #BroochOfTheDay to no avail, so they will have to remain anonymous, which is a shame, because I do adore this #brooch! It was a gift from my lovely brother and his wife, at the end of my 2019 visit to #Adelaide, and was bought from the #JamFactory. It’s a lovely homage in #glass to the iconic Haigh’s Chocolate Speckles - my favourite!

Arvo, Toots! Last Skype with my #MentalHealth nurse. She’s leaving for better work/life balance. Oh well. Physiotherapist booked, after another night of #sciatica pain, (she will yell at me for not walking enough, I know I need to, but I need my crunchy back and hips fixed a bit first, then I can start stretching.)
Today’s #BroochOfTheDay is a departure from what you’ve seen from my collection. A little more than an inch across, this circle pin is from the 1930s or 40s, or maybe earlier.

Today’s #BroochOfTheDay is another from Tasha at #JublyUmph, from her recently released Bookish Animals series. Since the pandemic started I’ve been reading a lot of #AudioBooks. I started because I couldn’t use the local #library when lockdowns were happening, and then discovered I enjoyed the format. And with the #LibbyApp and #Borrowbox, there are often titles available I can’t access otherwise.

#BroochOfTheDay time! Today a new #Brooch from wonderful Australian designer #JublyUmph, based in #Daylesford, Victoria. This is one from her new “Bookish Animals” collection. I feel this “Hermiting” crab has summed up what I’ve been up to lately…

Yesterday was a multiple brooches kind of day. A warm cosy pink jumper in the morning required a Pete Cromer x Erstwilder galah. Then changing to a blue and teal top for a presentation in the afternoon called for a change of brooch - this time an Erstwilder fairy wren. 😍😍😍 #broochoftheday

I am by no means a royalist, but I am a keen observer of history - so with the Kings coronation about to start, today’s brooch is in recognition of the Queen who held a lifelong dedication to duty.
