I don't know how long Microsoft Edge browser has had the Split Screen feature, but I just discovered it and love it. I see myself using it frequently.

About ten years ago, I switched from to , largely for security reasons—I read that Firefox security was so bad that Pwn2own stopped giving prizes for breaking it. Has Firefox gotten better since then?

I'm considering switching back for , but the thing is, I have a certain amount of trust in Google—they'll use my data, but I feel pretty sure they won't have a data breach. (I used to work there; I have some idea how much effort is put into keeping their systems secure.) If I switch to an insecure , and get hacked, it won't be much comfort that the browser company didn't get my data.

@nosherwan so basically, Google asked its A.I. what privacy means and of course the A.I. was hallucinating.

If you use or another GTK-based desktop environment and want a fast, friendly web browser on top of that stack, try GNOME Web (aka Epiphany). Based on WebKit engine (as Safari), it is a strong alternative to /Blink. It is well designed for users who do not need too many options, and also useful as a secondary besides, say, Firefox, still with .
It is probably in your distribution repository (as epiphany-browser) or on Flathub.

🔎 Google is finally fully Evil:

The new "Privacy Sandbox" feature will track web pages you visit & generate a list of advertising topics shared with web pages whenever they ask & it's built directly into the Chrome browser.

Leaving it on for a while, you can check out the "Ad topics" page, where Google will show you what ads Chrome thinks you would like to see.

This list gets sent to advertisers when you visit a page.

Momentum – My favorite browser start page

Tired of falling down the rabbit hole every time you open a new browser tab? Momentum transforms that tab into a hub of focus and productivity, complete with to-do lists and daily inspiration. It's not just a game-changer for Chrome users; it's also available on Safari, Firefox, and Edge, revolutionizing how I view my browser's start page.

An internet browser that has zero tracking/data collection and the ability to not only block all adverts, circumvent paywalls but also block chosen websites.

Yeah, that.

Oh how I hate it when websites implement their own "smooth scrolling". Guess what: there are people who deliberately turn it off in their so they don't have to deal with that sh**.

So, if I have to use Google Workspace for my own business (due to clients using and sharing files) and all my main clients use Workspace, is there any point in using a browser other than Chrome? Oh, and my car has AAOS built in.

They know most things about me and my whereabouts. 🤷‍♂️

Just found out that you can set Safari Reader view to automatically open for specific websites!

So for example on a news website main page it has the normal browser, but when I click into an article it automatically opens in reader view so I can read it in peace!
