Why are the profiles in Firefox so unusable?? Why did they kill webapp support!? Ungoogled-Chromium here I come... once I get it set up...

You could say the exact same thing happened during the #BrowserWars, but we don't have a single browser that rules the roost (well, we kind of do, but it's not total domination)... The only thing I can think of that saved the smaller browsers was government intervention, anti-competition laws, etc.
Might be that is what is needed to protect the #Fediverse as well.
Although good luck trying to teach this cohort of politicians what the fediverse is lol.

1. Safari - I like being able to quickly fill up sign up forms from my Passwords, and also paying with Apple Pay (yeah, I'm locked-in the Apple ecosystem in this regard 🥲)
2. Arc - The overall sidebar management looks sooooo good and productive
3. Brave - I don't know man, I think their "privacy" marketing worked on me

Statcounter says Apple's Safari has overtaken MS Edge as the second-most-popular browser. (Chrome, of course, is on top by a wide margin. Firefox, sadly, still lags behind.)

It decided to skip version 5, and rewrite their browser from the ground up. When they showed off the preview release of version 6 (PR 1), reactions were not favorable.
Well, I liked it.
