So many mosses seen at Rockport State Park last Sunday. There are so many different kinds in our lowland forests. Ancient plants, no root or vascular system. They can dry out completely and come back to life with a little moisture. I was able to ID a few. Die mit Abstand größte und vielfältigste Gruppe der #Moose bilden die #Laubmoose (#Bryophyta) mit rund 903 Arten (inkl. Unterarten und Varietäten) in Deutschland. Laubmoose sind uns wahrscheinlich am vertrautesten, denn sie sind das was wir uns als Moos vorstellen. Sie besitzen Stämmchen und Blättchen und werden in Gipfelfrüchtige (#akrokarpe) und Seitenfrüchtige (#pleurokarpe) Moose unterschieden.
