A wonderful 36 hours in Oxford for #BSECS2023. Energised by the research and conviction of friends colleagues. After an exhausting 2022 and a tiring Christmas “break” I feel like I have had a mini holiday. Or as a friend I haven’t seen for a long time said to me today “I met myself” again for the first time in a while. Here’s to us all meeting ourselves whenever we can.
So nice to be back at #BSECS2023 for the first time in 4 years. Terrific papers today on subscription libraries, theatrical paratext and periodicals in the #C18 #eighteenthcentury

Sad to be missing the first day of #BSECS2023 because of a combination of things, but really happy to be headed back to Oxford tomorrow bright and early for a full day of panels and catch ups before giving a paper of recovering women readers through reading formats on Friday morning @academicchatter #bookhistory #womenshistory
