KING BOLDEN'S SONG

Multi-instrumentalist Louis James, born 1890, had childhood memories of King Buddy Bolden's Band.

By request, he assembled and recorded with a New Orleans string band in the style of his youth.

The main theme in "King Bolden's Song" is better known as "Funky Butt" or "Buddy Bolden's Blues" - here with another theme similar to Sidney Arodin's "Up a Lazy River".
