#Buðakirkja, the black church at #Buðir on the south coast of #Snaefellsnes peninsula, is one of the most photographed buildings in #Iceland. I personally prefer the beautiful beach nearby to the church, but that's just me.

I imagine people turning up at iconic Icelandic photo opportunities when the weather is lovely, with cloudless blue skies and rich verdant colours and being disappointed at everything seems a little...bland and nice, not Icelandicly Instagramish enough.
Saying that, the day after this was taken, while we were staying in Arnarstapi, a storm blew in with wind that was so strong in moved our car SIDEWAYS!
Everything is just a bit more everything in Iceland.
