#ElizabethStreet in #Melbourne’s central business district is home to this gorgeous building.

It’s called the ‘lighthouse’, and it’s one of my favourites.

It was built relatively recently, completed in 2017 and stands 218 m / 715 ft tall and has 69 levels.

It’s the 18th tallest building in Melbs.

The rich purple is what attracts me.

And the building‘s colour and appearance evolves dramatically depending on the time of day and of course, weather, sunshine etc.

The building itself is known for its appearance as a twisting helix (not so obvious from my distant pics), that has no corners.

York Minster towering over the narrow streets of the City of York in the UK. The fish & chip shop you see at the bottom left of the photo has a licensed restaurant at the back which I can definitely recommend.
