I'm going to be moving my #blog to my own infra and remove it from github pages.

I built it using the "off the shelf" solutions out there: Wanna host a static website... for free? github pages.
Wanna track how many people visit your website... for free? google analytics.

And honestly I lost so much by using those "free" solutions. I don't want to a js tracker on my website, I could just log the IP. And I don't want to send data about my blog for free to google and microsoft.

Last year I started renting a #vps and it changed how I interact with technology. And moving away from the birdsite to the #fediverse made me feel connected to people like me who had enough of big tech controlling everything we do online.

Soon I'll be posting on my blog how I setup it's infra (using grafana, prometheus, caddy, and more...)
