After waiting since March of 2021, my #CutiePi arrived this morning. First impressions of the build quality are good. It feels solid and the screen is acceptable. It's running #Raspian #Bullseye. It notified me immediately there were updates, but there was a missing dependency so it wouldn't do them. I manually forced it to #Bookworm, which destroyed the custom UI they've put on it. I reimaged the SDCard, and it's back to good. Tomorrow I try a new image I got a few minutes ago.

Finally got my #raspberrypi resin #printer #camera working again on #bullseye, the solution is always simpler than you think... nope just died again.

Why would the camera cut out? I know #libcamera cuts when it no longer is being viewed but surely this shoudn't? It survives short term.

#iRedmail 1.6.4 now supports #Debian 12: https://docs.iredmail.org/iredmail.releases.html, so I upgraded my last #Bullseye server to #Bookworm.

Installer did overwrite my php-fpm config, so I had to restore that to a working version. And I had to redo all certificate stuff... Thankfully I can rely on my documentation skills ;-)

Good call for #Debian . #bullseye has recently been released so I'd look at that release.

Arch is great, but has a steeper learning curve and a very manual installation process. but you will learn a lot. There's loads of documentation available too.

If you want to try an 'easier' arch based distro, #Manjaro is a great choice.

Bei #Raspberry #PI #Bullseye gibt es seit dem Juni Update ein #Problem mit #deCONZ.
Workaround: https://github.com/dresden-elektronik/deconz-rest-plugin/issues/6937 kurzgefasst: sudo vi /lib/systemd/system/deconz-gui.service und dort die Zeile mit ExecStart wie folgt ändern: ExecStart=/usr/bin/deCONZ --http-port=80 --dev=/dev/ttyACM0. WICHTIG: Es ist nur ein #Workaround, d.h. es kann sein, dass die Änderung beim nächsten Update rückgängig gemacht weden muss!

Setting up a local mirror for the #debian and #proxmox repositories was actually super easy, barely an inconvenience. If you have a #pve cluster running the free community distribution, you probably already know how rate-limited their repository is. The only gotcha is the #bullseye version of apt-mirror has a bug that prevents the #bookworm repository from working correctly, so you need to install the latest apt-mirror with dpkg in that situation.

Just updated my #mastodon server to 4.1.3. Still waiting for S3_STORAGE_CLASS feature to be on the main channel, but hopefully it'll be in 4.2.0.

Oh and I had an issue with #postgres #docker #container. It threw collation issues, so I had to run a command inside it to fix:

docker exec mastodon_db psql -U mastodon -c "ALTER DATABASE mastodon REFRESH COLLATION VERSION"

Apparently it's been there since 15.3:

Argh. Any #Debian folks around here? The #Bullseye -> #Bookworm upgrade seems to have broken my #LXC setup.

The lxc-net.service unit won't come up and can't create the #bridge, erroring:

Error: Could not process rule: Operation not supported

lxc-net[832121]: ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Seems to come from https://github.com/lxc/lxc/blob/master/config/init/common/lxc-net.in#L99C1-L99C19 . I have nftables functionality enabled in the kernel.

Oh, another issue I ran into (and haven't fixed yet) in the #Debian #Bullseye -> #Bookworm #upgrade ...

I have an unprivileged LXC container that no longer starts correctly after the upgrade. The #network bridge device lxcbr0 appears to not get created automatically as it did before. Creating it manually lets the container start, but without actual network connectivity.

It's probably something relatively simple, but I haven't had time to dig into it much. #Annoying.
