"The RSPCA has received four separate reports of "cruel" and "senseless" attacks on kangaroos in the Bunbury area, which took place at schools and in bushland around the city's southern suburbs...We have also had reports of roos being decapitated and beaten and chased with vehicles as well."

The boarding system of the Australind train from Bunbury to Perth is a pain in the arse. Rather than check tickets on board, the staff have you queue up to have them checked before boarding. Feels like being back at school.

Just went for a swim at Bunbury’s Back Beach, as I did as a kid – with the same result: the mighty Indian Ocean waves knocked me over and pushed along the sand for a bit. It was never very gentle on this beach, which is why our family would more likely go to the gentler “front beach“ on the estuary on the other side of town. Can’t beat an ocean beach though, for sheer force of nature.

"Deshacer el mundo" (Undo the World), from their fourth and final studio album, Avalancha, was featured in their brief 2007 comeback tour.
