After 2 decades fighting with the VA that there was a #problem- and excelling in my #career for awhile in spite of it- I had become a #burden on my #family. And a #toxic #ASPD family member put the nail in that coffin

Every time it happen the perception increases that public school is unsafe. It increases the likelihood that #parents will #homeschool. And the GOP is all about shifting the #burden of #education entirely on parents.

Each shooting is analogous to murdering #socialized education.

The kids are just collateral damage to their goal.

I am lying here awake. It is 6am here and I haven’t slept a wink. I am so #depressed and #anxious. I have struggled all my life with depression and anxiety since working as a #hospital #chaplain during the first wave of #COVID. I worry about my family and feel like I have failed them. Can’t even replace our broken refrigerator. And my work to get a degree in #psychology is taking longer than I thought it would. I am such a #burden to everyone. Sorry to rant.

Rather than telling women to say ‘no’ to improve inequity, we need “solutions that leaders can implement so that women aren’t forced to either decline the work or take on too much.”
