#Jail should not be a death sentence!
Elizabeth Fry of Mainland NS writes: At the young age of 36, Sarah passed away from pneumonia while incarcerated at #Burnside (Central Nova Correctional Facility). This should not have happened. Sarah's preventable death was a consequence of putting a vulnerable, #marginalized #Indigenous woman in jail who shouldn't have been there in the first place. We are calling for a public inquiry into Sarah's death and the circumstances that led to it.
