One of the best parts of a home Robbie Burns dinner is leftovers. Normally, my leftover haggis goes to Balmoral Chicken and sandwiches, but this year my lovely had the brightest idea:

Haggis poutine.

And damn, it's good. I'd post a picture, but it's just poutine with bits of haggis in it. Still though, so good. The flavours blend so well together!

I totally want to try it with a whisky cream sauce instead of gravy (sacrilege!), and perhaps peas... 🖤

A dram for Burns' Night tonight. It wasn't when I bought it, but this is now apparently the second most expensive whisky in the house. It's a blend of malts from distilleries that no longer exist including Caperdonich, Rosebank, Mosstowie, Craigduff, and Port Ellen.

I may or may not be rewatching "Highlander" to go along with it (but only because I've rewatched "Trainspotting" and "Under the Skin" more recently.)

*disappointed sigh* I just realized I missed #BurnsNight this week 🤦🏻‍♀️ I had such a crammed weekend with chemo, followed by #ChineseNewYear that I completely forgot about Burns Night celebrations.

Super bunmed cuz I haven’t had a #haggis dinner in absolutely forever & it’s even better when you cross-pollinate it with #ChineseFood — pretty sure haggis egg rolls are still my fave discovery 😅
