Had an awesome long weekend away riding great coasters at #KingsDominion and #BuschGardens Williamsburg!

I was so happy to finally get on #Pantheon after originally planning to ride it in 2020, though it was having some operational issues that took the shine off of it a bit.

#Intimidator305 was also an amazing experience, so intense! My wife was completely unconscious for most of her first ride, but managed to survive the second ride 😅

We're a day or two late, but happy 30th birthday to Kumba at Busch Gardens Tampa, celebrating her 30th birthday this week!

Opening in April 1993, Kumba is an early B&M coaster design that features a jaw-dropping 114ft vertical loop. Despite her age, Kumba remains a popular ride in the park to this day.

My wife and I planned a trip to #KingsDominion and #BuschGardens for next month, and since then we've found out that it will be the opening weekend for #DarKoaster as well as that #Intimidator305 will be back open following extended maintenance!

Interesting read on the state of #disney parks in #orlando from the pass holder perspective. Feels like the park is doing what US companies do and squeezing every ounce of efficiency out of it's operations at the cost of guest experiences.

Having #buschgardens local here in Tampa that park feels "slow" the last few visits. The Christmas event felt like portions were missing and the staff looked overworked and unenthusiastic.

Every now and then I remember that there was once a #BuschGardens theme park in Houston, Texas, that operated for only about two or three years before shutting down in the early 1970s, predating the park in Williamsburg. There are newer, taller, faster, and arguably more exciting dive coasters that have opened since SheiKra dropped into our lives in 2005. There's only one original, though, and even approaching 18 years old she still is thrilling to take a ride on. That drop, the water effects....*chefs kiss*

21. Big Bad Wolf - Busch Gardens Williamsburg

It is a travesty these suspended swinging coasters have not made a comeback yet. They're absolutely magical, and BBW was my first experience whipping up and around the banked turns.

I love Vortex at @WonderlandNews too, but this classic at @BuschGardensVA is too good not to rank it.

Python was such a visually stunning coaster. The Arrow looping coaster operated at #BuschGardensTampa until 2006.
