conda hates me. I just messed around for nearly two days trying to get BUSCO installed, both my laptop and a cluster. I can't get it going...
I love the old BUSCOv3 virtual machine, but I have 5 mammalian genomes to evaluate and according to manual, 12CPUs was 6 days/genome, which means this may work, but at glacial scale.
So, anyone out there have *any* version of BUSCO running on something not a potato? Can provide fasta and lineage files, and my endless gratitude. 😬

Looks interesting, Heng Li proposes a faster #BUSCO: "miniBUSCO achieves a 14-fold speedup over BUSCO. Furthermore, miniBUSCO reports a more accurate completeness of 99.6% than BUSCO’s completeness of 95.7%, which is in close agreement with the annotation completeness of 99.5% for T2T-CHM13"
