This painting was made in November 2021, I remember looking at a picture on the internet of a body in a similar pose, I just improvised the rest of the composition with very few pencil lines as I wanted to grab the brush quickly.

The best #sparring option for the #modern #battôjutsuka or #kenjutsuka is a #fencingMask (over 1600 Newton), protective #gloves from #Lacrosse or #HEMA, and a padded #fencing jacket. The combo can be enhanced with shin #protectors (with an articulated knee joint) and fencing pants. Since the forearms and elbows are often hit in #sparring, it is recommended to protect the elbow joints with additional plastic protectors.
