The FT is warning that a continuing divergence of regulatory structures & practices between the UK & the EU will lead to what they are terming #Brexit 2.0.

When #inflation is high, it becomes harder for #middle class to afford homes. Businesses also struggle to borrow #money, which is crucial for the real #economy. With higher #interest rates, both #middleclass and businesses have to make larger #payments. To cope with these increased costs, businesses freeze wages and even cut them, run #layoffs for middle-class workers. In essence, #highinflation is harming middle class and its #prosperity, causing #financial difficulties for #businesses.
