I've missed two #3DPrompts already, still working on my #BusinessMonkeys 😅
But I think i'm finally ok with the monkey itself.
I ran into a lot of problems, because i've not done this in a while and i've tried a different workflow than the one i've been used to. Also, making materials without gpu support is hard. I so need a new gpu.😆

Hmmm. The monkeys and barrel are fine. The animation is a bit crap. Considering redoing the collapse as a physics sim, but I'm out of practice with that and I've never mixed it with Geometry Nodes.

I don't do an awful lot of organic modeling, and even less sub-d modeling by hand, but this is coming out pretty well. I'd be lost if I wanted to add much more detail, but this should be fine at the scale I'm planning.

Agenda for today so far includes jamming some higher level procedural tutorials into my eyeballs (there's at least 10 hours of just Geometry Nodes stuff I could gorge on), and getting started on my #3DPrompts #BusinessMonkeys piece. It's a prompt that resists my typical "I dunno, throw some particles and weird shapes at it" strategy.

How are you folks doing on your #BusinessMonkeys #3DPrompts projects? I have some ideas, but I've been working on other things mostly.

If you don't have an idea, close your eyes and think of a business monkey. Got it? If you have an idea but it feels undeveloped, sketch it out! Got a sketch? Get modeling! ;)

Today, we're running our first prompt for 3D graphics! Using the hashtag #3DPrompts, these will be weekly open prompts and occasional daily challenges focused on 3D artwork. You're encouraged to use any tools & techniques you like, and interpret the theme or subject however you see fit.

Zwar ein klares Beispiel für: wenn man 50% weg nimmt, bleiben weniger als die Hälfte übrig. Doch was Du daraus gemacht hast: chapeau!!!
