Jazztodon artist of the week: Sphere! A jazz super-group of #kennybarron on piano, #charlierouse on tenor, #benriley on drums, and #busterwilliams on bass, this group put out seven critically acclaimed albums between 1982 and 1997. They played tribute to #theloniusmonk on many tracks (naturally, with Charlie Rouse and Ben Riley in the band), but they quickly developed their own unique sound.

In 1988 komt haar eerste soloalbum uit als bandleider, #Arcane met daarop oa #KennyGarrett en #BusterWilliams, legendes in de NY jazz scene.
In 1992 begint ze met de opnames van #Telepathy, waar ze weer het kruim van de jazz scene rond zich verzamelt. Het album zal voor haar grote doorbraak zorgen binnen de jazzwereld.
In 1993 zal ze ondertussen een auditie doen via de telefoon met #LennyKravitz, die vraagt of ze onmiddellijk naar LA kan komen.
Ze blijft daar twee weken en drumt daar in
