Please do not ever refill disposable gas cylinders. They are not designed for end-user refilling, the seals are not designed to withstand multiple cycles, and it is not only dangerous to use a refilled cylinder, it is illegal to refill and transport refilled cylinders.

Yes, lots of people do this, both with small #propane cylinders and small Lindal valve #butane cylinders for #camping and #backpacking stoves, but they shouldn't.

Do u daily drive it on ur server? How is it compare to normal distros?

And how do you install on bare metal.. The docs are super confusing 🥲

My new #Butane stove throws lovely #Heat, but I learned this week that they create a lot of #Humidity.

My hygrometer in the living room said 70% this morning, which is a mold-friendly climate for sure.

To cope, I'm going to swap out the heating job between butane and a little heating fan which may help dry things out. Opening windows or the front door is not an option, sadly.

Straight electric heat isn't as effective and is the costliest option.

Bought a combination butane / electric stove so I won't be forced out of my apartment again due to cold, God willing.

I really don't like relying on the electric grid for heat, so I'm trying to get some butane. But apparently here in Spain one has to have a full-on contract with a gas company like Repsol just to order one bottle of butane!

Off to sign a contract today: of course the contract forms aren't available online.

#Butane heat indoors doesn't thrill me, but absent a way to heat with #Renewable fuels in this rental, it's preferable to costly electric heat. And I'll run it only during daytime hours. Electric heat at night is fine.

I'll also be taping up the leaky terrace doors in the bedroom, since I don't need to use them in the winter. Bought one of those "snakes" to block the draft under the front door, too. And I have some nice blackout curtains for the bedroom that should provide a bit more insulation. #PassiveHeating

Very odd decision in CoreOS To make “butane” a thing. Should be an implementation detail in “ignition” – which should just read the YAML configuration.

Why have people manually write their configurations in YAML and then convert them to JSON?

Very odd.

Looking forward to having web framework in #rust that's similar to #django where I don't have to write any friggin migrations in #sql and can define all my models in rust without rewriting them in SQL. Maybe something based on #butane
