Manila FAME is back!

I remember going to this trade show when I was still working at a home magazine. I'd always leave the venue in awe of Pinoy creativity and craftsmanship.

The only downside? I'd always wish I had a bigger house (and lots of moolah) so I can bring home one or two of the exquisite furniture pieces. The fashion accessories are also superb and are more accessible/affordable, haha!

They were queuing up at Wilmslow Community Market Gardens first ever stall at the town’s market last month! 🥕🍅🥦

Transition Wilmslow is working towards a ring of gardens around the town growing much of its fruit and veg, and this gave them a new outlet to get the fresh, local, organic food to people.

They also have a stall at their Oakenclough garden at a local children’s centre, and this month, they’re working with a local chef to run ‘plot to plate’ sessions with local families – harvesting straight from the allotment and cooking it up in tasty dishes on the day.

It’s funded by a Transition Together seed funding grant, made possible thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.

I’m convincing another family member to go credit Union because Chase is shit for customers. Credit unions actually care about their community too. They’re non profits as well better benefits

The Feds are suing Amazon for alleged "deceptive consumer practices". The FTC action claims that Amazon "tricked" customers into signing up for "Amazon Prime" and then made it difficult for them to cancel.

Amazon and other corporations being difficult and deceptive? This is new information? Does this mean there will be more of this coming for other "giants of commerce"? One would think considering how common this is.

Amazon is known to OutOfExile_IDR for instances of ableism and harrasment by customer service, logistics and, even at the corporate level. "Difficulty" and "deception" has always been a given. Despite the number of interactions in my personal "Amazon experience", I have never been a member nor, have I ever purchased anything from that entity.
