Of course, this is just normal engineering, problem-solving, business development wrapped in #buzzwords. ("#buzzword will kill you" is a strange marketing flex, but it works too, just with a different audience.)

But normal problem-solving is necessary to solve problems, and while overhyping the tools may distract, only "You don't need to worry about climate change because #buzzword" will delay.

#CarbonCapture or #Fusion is more likely than #AI here.

Having lived with #technoHype my whole life, these links are pretty sober, over the pattern "How can #buzzword help solve every conceivable problem?" and not "Your problems are gone now, #buzzword is here!", alternatively "#buzzword will kill everything and everyone you love".

Where #buzzword can be things like #XMLbased, #app, #blockchain, or #AI, whatever they got.

Entfristeter Mittelbau kostet Geld, das die Unis nicht verläßlich haben, weil vieles über Drittmittel finanziert wird.

Allerdings kommen viele dieser Drittmittel eh vom Staat, halt aus anderen Töpfen (DFG, BMBF, …), damit Politikys damit angeben können, daß sie wieder 10 Mio € in #Buzzword-Forschung stecken (und wegen Bund-Länder-Bildung-Fu).

Gebt das Geld den Unis für Dauerstellen.
Weniger Anträge und Berichte schreiben spart zudem Zeit für Forschung.
