They picked a week when Rita was also away on vacation. Rita is the Block Watch™ captain and local busybody¹.
They 15-year-old boy had friends over. (Duh.) They loudly played music (duh), including one song regularly repeated throughout the evening, always at a volume so high it vibrated the windows of nearby houses.
Finally, at 1:30am there was public yelling. We don't know who it was that broke and marched over there to read them the riot act, but we heard it. We ALL heard it. Because none of us were asleep yet.

Goodmanson says the #interim measure will force #developers & #landowners to work with #CityHall on #TreeRemoval .
The temporary #bylaw is set to expire in six months. By then a new permanent #tree #management plan will go into effect, one that mirrors other plans in neighbouring municipalities.
