Seventh Vote Failed. Republican Dan Bishop of North Carolina said while nominating Byron Donalds that the House had an opportunity to elect the first Black speaker. Byron Donalds doesn't have a chance in hell of being Speaker. So, if he wants the first Black speaker then we should expect Bishop to vote for Representative-elect Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker of the House.
