Es gab schon manche letzte #LetzteGeneration. Jede glaubte eschatologisch tiefer als vorige zu blicken.
Nun: die Erde befindet sich unbestreitbar in einer menschengemachten #Klimakrise. Es gibt allen Grund, wirtschaftlicher mit der Erdatmosphäre umzugehen: sie darf von niemandem mehr als Müllhalde zur Verklappung von giftigen Gasen wie #C02 genutzt werden. Und doch sind stadtneurotische Street-Sitins der falsche Weg, Klimaschutz zu propagieren.

Almost all #CarbonDioxide removal relies on natural processes-i.e. restoring damaged forests. Only about 0.1% is performed by new technologies, such as ‘direct air capture’, which extracts CO2 from the atmosphere.

I just had my worst flight ever on Alaska Airlines Seattle to Hawaii. Not. Lousy ventilation.

On most airlines the CO2 levels, which is a proxy for potential CO2 exposure, since it’s measuring how much of it here people’s breath your taking in, might level out around 1200 or so. Not great, but that’s what it is. Not so this one. Plus we got stuck on the tarmac after we landed and levels went up to 3000, which is headache territory.

If you put Saranwrap over the front of that, you can’t breathe. It has an airtight seal to your face.

I’ve also taken to doing a nasal saline rinse after being in crowded spaces. I don’t know if it helps keep Covid from taking hold. But some studies have shown that it reduces hospitalization time when you have Covid, so I figure it can’t do any harm.
