@deanjimmy @root42 Looking into it more, I agree that the #C116 was a focused #ZXSpectrum competitor in features and price, but it was several years too late. The #C16 and #Plus4 seem like they were driven by post-Tramiel #Commodore management wanting to do something more with the platform than just an ultra-cheap game computer.

After reading #BackIntoTheStorm from Bill Herd, I agree the ultra cheap versions, especially the #C116 would have been a great Idea. But marketing killed the product... sad for the engineers, who put so much effort into it.

If you like the Commodore 264 series you should really visit the homepage of László Rajcsányi (WLS). He ported a lot of the old Commodore 16 classics for the Gameboy & Gameboy Color. Awesome work and a great time travel back to better days.
