"Inactive" does NOT mean that a licenced attorney is not "legally allowed to practice law."

It just means that they are "inactive" (not currenty in active practice) and all they need to do to become "active" again is to pay the necessary fees and take any required MCLE courses to begin actively practicing again.

So, says this "inactive" member of the CA & DC bars.

I am so proud! #UCILaw is the *only* California ABA law school that did not see a decline in bar passage rates as a result of the pandemic’s negative impact on student learning over the past two years. And this year, only 2 schools (UCLA and UCB) had a higher bar passage rate!
