I thought this might interest you. The issue that I see, is that the current ACC is literally on the Atlantic Coast. If they add #Cal and #Stanford the travel would be worse than #USC #UCLA and #Oregon and #Washington
They would be better off in #MountainWest or #WAC

Simply fascinating that #SMU got itself into the #ACC expansion discussion by effectively offering to subsidize the additions of #Stanford and #Cal by taking zero media money for 7(!) years. This is bizarro world even by conference realignment standards.

Source confirms to @TheAthletic that the ACC is (again) seriously considering adding #Stanford, #Cal and #SMU. A group of ACC presidents met Wednesday morning to discuss finances, as ESPN first reported. More meetings, including ADs, are expected to occur this week.

I truly hope #Stanford and #Cal end up in the #B1G. Stanford has won nearly every Director's Cup and along with Cal, USC, and UCLA, regularly claim 4 of the top 10 spots. This is the reason why the PAC-12 was known as the "Conference of Champions".

And adding these two top AAU schools will only reinforce the B1G's academic prestige.

I had a #boyfriend in the #1980s when #Canseco was #Rookie of the Year, who had season A's tickets. For some reason, my primary memories of that era, besides #DireStraits and flunking out of #Cal, are the voice of the announcer calling out #DaveStewart and #CarneyLansford, and also, making out at the 7th inning stretch.

Tim was a good #kisser, but it didn't extend beyond that. Sorry, #Tim.

It was such an awesome era, and those times ended. I wish #MLB weren't corporate and weren't so worried about the whims of ticket #sales.

I wish all teams were the #GreenBayPackers, with local ownership. Even better, I wish it were the A's of the #1980s, with local ownership and local players.
