The people that need to embrace this idea are @secondlife to get more engagement in #SecondLife - and they could assist the community gateways like #FirestormViewer and #CaledonOxbridge who, frankly, do a better job of welcoming, teaching, and retaining new #SLResidents

It can be whatever you choose - you can be whatever you want, you can buy all the things, or learn to make all the things. There are community gateways that are better starting points than the official Newcomer Island; I recommend the #Steampunk #CaledonOxbridge gateway for its excellent training walkthrough similar to the Helping Haven gateway Inara mentions.

My recommendation is to start people at Community Gateways. #CaledonOxbridge has a wonderful spawning/welcome area.
