Last week, I finished a piece in my #CalendarSynchronization puzzle that I had planned to build for years: synchronizing work logs entries made inside #Jira issues to my #Calendar.
So, why on earth would anyone need this? In this thread, I'll outline the background and explain how you can set this up, as well - just in case you are among the maybe 10 persons on this planet who need this! ๐
But first, here's a screenshot of the result (real data, text redacted).

Anyone know of an alternative to #Calendly that supports integrating with a #calendar hosted by #Fastmail? #calendars #diary #CalendarSynchronization #scheduling #meeting

Thanks to everybody who answered the poll!
While three participants isn't very much, it's certainly better data than my gut feeling that (also) said most people don't know about this #GoogleCalendar feature.
I therefore went ahead and pushed the release that, as a side effect, changes @chronolink to include those only-organizer-not-attendee events in #CalendarSynchronization.
If more people used those kinds of events, I would have needed to add a way to revert to the old behavior.

It's time that I write about the hobby project which has dominated my free time for over a year now: @chronolink is a flexible and reliable #CalendarSynchronization service.
As of #today, it also supports accessing data from other systems via iCalendar (ICS) and copying it to Google or Microsoft calendars.
With that milestone behind me, I finally wrote an intro post: https://indieapps.space/web/@chronolink/110526082259403930
I'll use that other account for posting news & providing support. Let's see how this goes!
