It takes us 3.5 hours driving there and back to visit, and there is nowhere nearer equipped to handle such severe dementia.

Always wondered what's prowling around the garden at night. Have seen evidence of badger and foxes and something has clearly dug under the rear fence. Got a trailcam to see what moves around. Apart from birds, squirrels and local cats caught a cheeky fox (repeat offender) - looks to have caught a pigeon, badger and hedgehog. #trailcam #wildlife #cambridgeshire

An East Anglian Council (South #Cambridgeshire ) which was experimenting with a 4 day week has been told to end the experiment directly by central government - in spite of the experiment not causing any real problems (I had a look at the full report on their website, there was a slight increase in unanswered calls and waiting times at the call centre, but the Whitehall minister does not even mention that)

Best to remember that #Cambridgeshire would most likely have included the #IsleofEly - as it does currently - which consisted an area of marshland likely to contain rather a lot of #eels - hence the name! And local #coopers - makers of barrels - would have supplied barrels in which the eels could be transported live. So the logistics may not have been all that forbidding.

I also had a diabolical experience with the #RAC a few years ago when #BrokenDown on the side of the #A14 in #Cambridgeshire. I tell everyone I can about how they left us for hours and hours with a baby in the blazing sun on the side of one of the most dangerous roads in the UK and couldn't have cared less.
