New M42 adapter that lets me put my manual focus Sankyo Kohki Komura 105mm f/2 portrait lens on my Canon R6 Mark II. It includes a Dandelion chip for focus confirmation and EXIF data.

I got it from Andrii Kurianov, in Mukachevo, Ukraine, who also programmed it for my Komura lens. Shipped from Mukachevo to Kyiv by a local carrier, from Kyiv to Warsaw, Poland by train, from Warsaw to Florida by air, UPS from FL to TX, and USPS for the final delivery this afternoon

I'm putting this out there, not that it matters much since I've sort of given up on it but I sometimes make YouTube videos. I used to like making them, but it caused more disappointments and stress for me than it was worth. YouTube for a long time allowed me to earn extra income but I hardly get any revenue now. (maybe if I posted more lol) This was one of my last videos I posted.

Still having a hard time deciding between 35mm and 50mm. They are pretty close in general but still very different. I kind of like the way 35mm looks to me more if I'm being honest. I just don't need both lenses, the 35mm is more versatile overall but the 50mm can isolate subjects a little bit better but my 105mm can isolate them even more! Haha. 🤔

Everyone, please welcome the latest addition to the #cameraCollection: the Nikon D850! (far right), with it's companion, my color checker!

I think I have enough now. two #DSLR, two #film SLRs (the second F6 without a lens cap is a parts camera), and one #mediumFormat #120film #6x6 box camera.

• D850 is FX (full-frame) and incredibly powerful but also HEAVY and FX lenses aren't cheap. But hey, 1080p60 / 4k30 video!
• D7000 is probably going to remain my workhorse DSLR most of the time, 16 MP is enough for me (D850's 45 is just overkill) and it's ungodly fast
• Totally didn't use that color checker to calibrate my phone for this shot as long as I'm putting it out there, nope...

I wonder if the lens gods are shining on me today? Hoping for some usable M42 lenses from this lot!

It does however appear that the Adaptall lens is for Konica mount. Which means I need either another adaptall mount or a Konica SLR!

There's another Praktica as well, but looks like it may need some percussive maintenance.

Took these beauties for a walk yesterday. Unfortunately, the metering on the #praktica seems off, so did a sort of overcast-cloudy around 8 or 11 sort of thing. It's a test roll anyway, half ruined trying to load it.

I'll be developing the Texas Leica film later, my test roll was a success (considering).

I needed a light camera for some high quality photos while hill walking / hiking, and I've heard that the lens on this camera is best in class.

No idea what I'm going to be doing with the Fuji GS645S though.

Too wet to go out, so decided to see if this recent acquisition works. The Minolta 110 Zoom Mark II is a vintage 110 format SLR from the early 80s. So that lovely Portra in the back is a no.

Going to throw a Color Tiger in and it should cope well with some expired 110 as it has exposure compensation.

Oslo, November 2022.

The tiny #TTartisan 20 mm f/2 is a fun little lens. It lives on my #Fujifilm X-E4 these days, making it a truly pocketable camera. It's more than sharp enough for my use, and I prefer manual focus anyway, but it flares a fair bit when shot into the sun. So much and so consistently that I can plan for it. This is shot by the railway lines, just up the street from home.

@johnmee The faster the glass the bigger the burden - price and weight 😜

Used have a Metz hammerhead flash with a tethered battery pack - I think they were specifically designed to cripple photographers.

I don't like using flash, struggle with them unless I bounce it. Would much rather crank up the ISO. That said, the Profoto A1 is a doddle to use and one battery gets me through a full day of weddings, maybe two in the winter if i have to shoot till dances.
