I'm disassembling a Petri GX-4 (aka Cosina CT-7) and having trouble getting the top cover off. I've removed the dials, levers and screws. The cover is now loose except around the self-timer switch (in photo). I don't want to force it - I'm hoping to fix an issue with the film advance mechanism and I don't want to break anything else in the process. Damn, my venerable Pentax K-50 has definitely suffered the classic aperture solenoid failure.

Professional repair isn't economical and not confident I'll be up to the fine soldering involved in replacing it myself. Now need to decide whether to find a replacement Pentax body (may suffer the same failure) or upgrade to weatherproof Fujifilm gear (very expensive). Alternatively I could just use film when it's wet 🤔
