#ClimateAction has a problem. Aren't we missing a tool?

Let's say someone from, say, Springfield, Ohio wants to know how she can make a difference on #climate, so she gets online - and what can she learn? Are we giving her the right tools to have the greatest impact?

What we are doing right: we give her plenty of information that conveys the urgency for action. She can find out about the impact of *personal* actions. But what about *political* actions?

This person in Springfield, Ohio has more power than you might think. She can organize. She can move shit. (Friends, I've seen her do it.) But we are not providing her with clear information to inform what she should focus her political efforts on. Are we?

A person in Springfield, Ohio is a political actor in multiple jurisdictions - City of Springfield, Clark County, the State of Ohio and the USA. If she organizes locally, perhaps with a local organization, to take action - what should she focus on? What's the most impactful / best-value activity for the City of Springfield to take? What about the County? The State of Ohio?

A decentralized global campaign can achieve the degree of effectiveness and efficiency we need to shift from a dystopian hellscape to a hopeful future, provided political actors have the info they need to decide what to focus their efforts on. And we are all political actors.

So I think we need a project that brings together some (modest) expertise from the worlds of #ClimateScience, #economics and #campaigning, to create very simple tools for political actors all over the world to decide what they should focus on and organize around.
