My players are making characters for The Call of the Netherdeep we're planing to play...

So far they made two worshippers of Betrayer Gods, one of them also took homebrew class (after we said we will use only official ones), one player requested magic items, and they showed no will to work together (as players) or ability to be in any party (as characters).

I'm already exhausted and resentful. It is too much to ask for normal heroes and not borderline psychopats?

Still to do: determine a pay scale for missions their patrons will hire them for, write my read-aloud text for introducing several locations, and incorporate characters better into the world.

Prep for session one is going really well, actually!

Still waiting on backstory from a couple players, but it looks like there's a fairly organic way for the adventurers to meet, get thrown together into a party, and start their first mission! Plenty of secrets and clues to drop too. The players have done so well preparing their character concepts.
