Is anyone else attempting #CampNaNoWriMo2023 for June this year? I'm debating. I have the urge, but I wonder if I have a strong enough idea yet. Got a couple of days to take a strike at it.

I decided to do #campnanowrimo2023. I thought I’d work towards a “book” on heliophysics and space weather and why you should care - pop science and all. However, I’m starting to stall and find all my writing to be more blog/essay sort of format. Now I’m wondering if I should sort of keep the theme, but move to a more collection of essays instead of one story from a history to today perspective. Granted I’m really just doing this to practice writing so perhaps it doesn’t matter…

I’m doing Camp NaNoWriMo this month as extra incentive to complete a micropoetry collection. My word count goal is rather modest this time as other writing priorities take precedence but that’s the great thing about Camp NaNo; you can tailor it to meet your writing goals.

Forgot to say that I'm giving #CampNanowrimo2023 a go this year. Doing normal nanowrimo last year is what kick started the whole novel to begin with, so I'm hoping that this kind of accountability will help me to continue it, even if I don't finish it this month.

Met my writing goal for today and I'm so excited for the revised story, but the amount of remembering I have to do to keep everything in line! 🥴

This is why I keep copious notes, and also why I need to let ideas brew before I dive into the next chapter.

Today is April 1, the first day of April 2023 Camp for NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month). For my project this time rather than word count, I am planning to finish a short story I've started, and get it ready to submit to an anthology.

Right now, it is 12k words and has no ending. I'm shooting for 6k-7k total in the end, so lots of work to do!
