I got the cheque from Canada Post for failing its delivery guarantee of 1 day by taking 5 days. They stiffed me on the tax. It's not a lot of money but to them, multiply it by the millions of missed deliveries a year that go unclaimed, or people they cheat, then it's serious money. #CanadaPost is incompetent and a crook.

I got a #CanadaPost delivery notice card, which the local post office said came up with nothing in their system, and no package in their backroom.

I call Canada Post, and they tell me it's "a spam/scam card that's been sent (or package shipped) in 2020 and has been reported to be received by over 100 people. The same number."

Has anyone ever had this happen???
What am I gonna do, pay for a package that isn't sitting in front of my face? LOL

I've worked from home full-time for 17 years. All the couriers seem to do this at least occasionally, and it's definitely been getting worse since the start of the COVID pandemic screwed up everything.

But the absolute worst of the bunch, in my neck of the woods, is Canada Post. We get a new carrier on our route every year or so, and several of them have been absolutely horrible about this.

Waited for almost two months for a parcel to arrive with a (now very) late Xmas present for one of the twins only to have had the contents stolen en route.

The seller is being great about it but Canada Post is being its usual unhelpful self. The parcel was in “customs” for almost a month so I have to assume it was stolen there.

I knew when my 2nd pkg was to be delivered via #CanadaPost it was likely going to be a struggle. No one from that company came by today and our superbox had no package or key to a parcel box. I did get to go for a little bike ride delivering mail from 2 different addresses I found in our box. One was a monthly bank statement. 😳

I was looking at my tracking for my #PlayAsia game.

Now patiently waiting for my #Kuromi water bottle and #Persona5Royal blanket since both items finally cleared customs.

Next Wednesday, plan to buy bus pass and show my friend about the nearby Asian Grocery Store. She really enjoyed the leek dumplings I bought from there.

I gotta rant. The #canadapost app was hoping to be easier to track items my US friends sent me.

The app is an annoying piece of shit. I constantly put my information for payment for 20 minutes to pay off my duties, only to the app tell me that they can no longer take my payment method. Therefore, I can only get said item at the post office.

Least post office is across the street. But I’m pissed the app. What’s the fucken point of using it?!

Know who delivers to my door every time, for every package? FedEx, UPS, DHL, Amazon, and every local courier besides. Hell, even Purolator who is owned by Canada Post is consistently reliable (driver even remembers my name)!

The federal government needs to stop allowing #CanadaPost to fail if it’s to continue being our international postal carrier.

Oh yeah, and if I track a package on the #CanadaPost website and the driver ends up taking it to the Post Office instead of actually delivering it, the site will say a note has been left in my mailbox. However, it isn’t until THE NEXT DAY that the driver delivers the note.

My running theory is that the driver just decides “fuck it” some days and attempts no deliveries, takes everything to the post office, fills out all the ‘notes’ there, and spends the next day just delivering notes.

I really, truly want to like #CanadaPost but they make it exceedingly hard. I don’t drive but I am always home in the day.

ID check parcel? It goes right to the Post Office.
Signature parcel? It goes right to the Post Office.

No signature or ID check requirements? Sometimes they put it in the box, sometimes on my step, and sometimes it goes straight to the post office with no rhyme or reason.

At this point I don’t really think they can reasonably call themselves a delivery service at all.

Tried Passion Fruit #BubbleTea at the local shop.

It had a powdery aftertaste. The bubbles were good.
