will remember
the sound
of waves upon

years ago
O love
we stood
while all
sobbed

we scarcely
like night
stars
far-off
came voices

knew
subtle sense
two walked
whose
gleaming

was
no outward
bird or
silence
and all

was
such fire of
moon-light
born
so glad

O love
seems but
silver
nights of woe
on

sunset
gleaming
till i
that sob and sigh
beach that break

I'm a genderqueer poet, community organizer, & amateur drag king (Guy Haute-Ween) living on the traditional unceded & unsurrendered territory of the Wolastoqiyik people with my partner & 2 cats, Magnolia & Chrysanthemum.

I'm Fredericton's most troublesome former poet laureate & a fierce advocate for reproductive rights in New Brunswick (our abortion access is garbage, it's shameful).

My debut collection of poetry Bec & Call came out with Nightwood Editions in 2018 and I'm currently 'working' (procrastinating) on my next collection of poetry, mal à l’aise. I'm Acadian, so while much of my poetry is English I often incorporate French into my work.
