Student movement member: "We will fight together so that the workers' struggle will not be lonely!"

Korean students are fighting for the right to carry out protest actions during the #election period.

This is not a theoretical concern. On July 22, Gwangju district prosecutors office indicted 3 students from #CandleLightMovement related groups. They are facing potentially thousands of dollars of fines and 1 year in prison.

Constitutional court has ruled these types of prosecutions excessive.

It's kind of a visual metaphor 밥 말아 먹다 means "to mix with rice and eat", like you get the left-over sauce or soup out the bottom of your bowl, you would mix in rice to soak it all up and eat every last bit.

Also spotted, was this amusing scribble-board depicting president #YoonSukYeol as a joseon-era king with his robe open. His, um, "organs of state" are covered by a picture of disgraced former president Park Geun-Hye's face.

Most scribbles echo some negative sentiments of national disgrace, lost national pride, or call for him to step down. One is a heart, inside which it says "Hyerim is a cutie" :)

Most of the crowd are seated in the road. Crowds line both sides of the road and there are makeshift stalls for civic groups, radical press, art galleries, free soup, hawkers selling merch or a hot soup of silkworm pupae (delicious actually).
