1. Music: All week I've been on an indie folk/freak folk/psychedelic folk kick: Today's been all about working/driving while listening to the Fleet Foxes but tonight is going to be all about the Incredible String Band 💜
2. My periodic restock of artisan/hand-made beeswax/soy wax candles. I ordered from three different local candlemakers this time and they all arrived today. Cannot describe how excited I am.
3. I like this weather. As Anne Shirley would say, "there's so much scope for the imagination!"

I can't go into shops and sniff them at the moment, but they do a lot of good for my wellbeing. Nothing worse than ordering a candle with your favourite scent and it barely smells of anything!
My fave scents:
Lemongrass and Ginger
Lavender
Ylang Ylang
Overall, I like fresh and spicy smells. I do not like musky or very sweet smells.

Made candles today by melting the nubs of the rainbow soy candles that have burned down. I melt them in a water bath, remove the old wicks, pour the wax into cleaned pudding pots and add a new wick in each. Money for old boots! It’s quite satisfying and simple. The purple wax looks gorgeous melted. Fingers crossed they set well. #Making #candles

Sunday is a day for relaxing, so time to find a film to watch while I stitch. Picked up this candle at the gala yesterday. Anyone that knows me, knows I love to support small local companies, this is a relatively new business that a neighbour has started. All her candles scents are inspired by the area we live in. Got this one onto burn just now, hoping the scent stays strong.

#FindsFriday: The oldest preserved #candles north of the Alps. They were made from beeswax around 1,400 years ago. Found in the early medieval burial site in Oberflacht. The damp environment preserved the candles in good condition.

Pleasant, even if it's ever-so-slightly creepy somehow. But really, I've seen many an Interstate Highway exit that was more uncanny-valley than this place, and you can't even get a candlelit massage surrounded by rich woods there, so where's creepsville now? 😀 My latest generation of a spa.

Plenty of candles, a circular organic feel a la a Hobbit hole, the diffuse rays of sunrise coming in, plenty of woods, and a nice relaxing massage table. Not a bad little spa, this place.

Big move inside the apartment today, laying the ground-work to move the main #Wepwawet shrine into the far end of the living area, where the #3Dprinters are now.
This is going to change the flow of everything, as I'm tired of the #3Dprinter mess being at that end and just cluttering up the space, and allow me to enjoy Jackals far more frequently than I do currently (I only go into the 'shrine room' for ritual stuff and I really want to see #jackals 100% of the time, I mean who doesn't, pfft).
So I will be able to have #candles and #incense and #offerings more often for Wepwawet as well since I can keep an eye on lit candles etc. and more casual "s'up *highfive*" style communication on my way to and from the kitchen 🤣
Truthfully, Wepwawet wanted a big everyday #shrine but never requested it to be as sequestered as it is now, and so He will be pleased, as He is very much an every-day Jackal God ❤
My ritual shrine will still stay in the other room where the 3D printers will go. They aren't too loud thankfully.

Update: 2.5 hours and a massive migraine, but I got it done. Don't ask for pictures behind the camera, it looks like a whole apartment exploded.
