Day 1 of making #homemade #preserved #Chinese #SaltedDriedPlum #snacks 🌞 The large tray is brought in at night & put back out an hour after sunrise. Only coarse #salt & #CaneSugar are used; same simple method that our village family overseas has been using for generations.

Used some of our roasted #pork #leftovers to #cook up a #stew with some #bambooshoots #roots ; stewed in #soyasauce with #CaneSugar . We eat it with plain rice & homemade pickled parsnips & carrot.
