5 years ago today we had our final night on holiday in #LymeRegis We had a 40 min window of clear sky to grab some #MilkyWay photos before the Waning Gibbous Moon rose. The reflections of #Mars + MW on the sea are amazing #Canon1100D 18-55mm kit lens, single 20sec shot at ISO-1600.

The almost #FullMoon (99% #WaningGibbous) looked gorgeous rising over our #Oxfordshire village tonight. The first photo is a single shot as the Moon rose, the second is a stack of the best 40% of 150 RAW files, all taken with a #Canon1100D + Sigma 300mm zoom lens

You can see the tiny comet moving around Polaris as the Earth rotates, but also see how fast it was moving against the background stars. My 1st attempt imaging #IC405 #Caldwell31 the #FlamingStarNebula. It needs way more data, but this was 89 x 90 seconds + 35 darks, taken from Oxfordshire with an astro-modded #Canon1100D with a light pollution clip filter attached to a #WilliamOptics 70mm refractor

Last night I was able to easily locate #Comet #C2022E3ZTF in my 8x42 binoculars. It was visible in single shots taken with a #Canon1100D + 50mm lens, but how does it compare to #C2020F3NEOWISE? These images were taken with the same kit. ZTF is lovely, but tiny by comparison!

#OrionsSword + #M42 the #OrionNebula taken from Oxfordshire 16th Jan 2023. #WilliamOptics 70mm refractor + astro-modded #Canon1100D on an EQ5 Pro mount. 105 x 30 seconds + 23 darks for the main image, the core was 21 x 8 seconds, all shot at ISO-3200.
