Well...I happen to find myself near my local camera shop today and decided to pop in and just take a quick look. Not to make any purchases...just to take a quick look. Oh, is that a 200mm Takumar lens in the case? Umm...there is a really cheap 300mm Canon FD...I wonder if it is as good as my 70~210mm FD. Oh golly...there is a Spotmatic SPII film camera with a built-in light meeter on the shelf. MUST HAVE!

Jewels and I traveled to Petoskey, MI yesterday to pickup our new kayaks from Bahnhof Sports. Afterwards, we spent a little time at Bayfront Park.

I took these photos with my Canon 70-210mm F4 FD lens. it's probably the cheapest lens in my vintage collection, but I love its characteristics. Unfortunately, there is a small dot of internal lens fungus that I think is growing 😭

I made a couple of test photos a with my Canon FD 70-210 F4 with Viltrox FD-m4/3 Focal reducer. Camera Panasonic GH4 and it's a nice demonstration of fringing for this lens.

When looking at the photos at 100% the photo on the right green fringing is visible, on the pho on the left purple fringing is visible.

Fringing changes from purple to green as lens zooms out.

Unfortunately I didn't write down aperture settings. I think it was around f/8 - f/11.
